Tree Planting

Today, children in Phase 2 (Years 2, 3 & 4), braved the frost, snow and bitterly cold wind to walk to the nearby Trymside Open Space to help members of TreeBristol, Trees for Cities and the Forest of Avon, along with volunteers from HSBC, plant new trees and hedges to improve the local environment.

There was even a visit by the Lord Mayor, who helped plant the trees and hundreds of hedging whips around the boundary of the large open space surrounding the River Trym.

Among the 24 new trees planted were River Birch, Wild Cherry, Beech and Alder. For more information about the event and the TreeBristol organisation, click here.
